Based on their respective descriptions, it is likely that this greatshield and the Greatshield of Glory had their names and descriptions switched with each other at some point.This shield can be seen being used by the Royal Guard in Drangleic Castle.When upgraded, it has the second highest Stability of any shield in-game, capped at 78 when at +10. It is the third lightest greatshield in the game, but performs very well for its weight. The Tower Shield is in one of the two chests in the area after the boss fight-arena, next to where Blue Sentinel Targray is standing.ĭespite being one of the first greatshields encountered in the game, it is also one of the best.
